About Us

My journey to here and now began at a very young age, the earliest memory I can pull from my memory bank dates back when I was  4  years old. My home was in Mexico then and my grandparents cared for me and my handicapped cousin who was a couple of years older than I. My grandmother was a nurse and I was fortunate to go along on many of her hospital adventures, it's also where I learned about serving others and observed what compassion was all about, caring for another human life,  There were times my grandmother treated the sick in her home, fold out plastic beds would fill the living room all through the hallway. I was in charge of going to each occupied bed to hand out filled cups of water, a learning experience I am thankful for and apply what i learned then to my work today. Throughout my life I've volunteered for multiple organizations taking on different tasks and learning something new every time. God called me to serve only this time I would take everything I've done for other organizations and start up from the ground up. It's been four years since the formation of Valley of Advent Children, serving orphanages in B.C. Mexico has brought us to remarkable places and introduced us to so many wonderful people  and we pray that the Lord continue to bless our work so we can reach out and extend a helping hand to more orphanages.
